Reva H. Slack was born on January 5, 1932, in Cleveland, Ohio, to the late Robert and Loneder Hill. Reva peacefully departed this life on October 9, 2026, at 3:17 p.m., at the blessed age of 94.

Reva’s love for her Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, was the foundation of her life. She was a devoted Bible reader, faithful disciple, and the heart of her family. Affectionately known as Momma, Granny, and Big Reev, her black wooden rocking chair became a symbol of her love; a place where stories were shared, including the latest "soap opera," laughter was plentiful, and children often drifted off to sleep. To have sat in that chair was to know the comfort, warmth, and blessing of Granny’s embrace.

Reva was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Howard Slack; her son, Irvin (Vicky); her parents, Robert and Loneder Hill; her sisters, Phadellis, Betty, Cecelia, the Hill Baby, Willa Mae, and Bernice; her brothers, Samuel, Robert, Marvin, Herman, Curtis and Joel (Jody); and her son-in-law, Leroy Cardwell, Sr.

Reva leaves to cherish her memory her children, Ladonna (Larry), Ronald (Debbie), Terry (Marlo), Shelia, and Brenda; her devoted sisters, Verndella, Darlene, and Bonne; and a host of grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and great-great-grandchildren. She also leaves behind a loving circle of nieces, nephews, extended family, and dear friends who will forever treasure her memory.

A graveside service will be held on Friday, October 16, 2026, at 10:00 am at Butler County Memorial Park, 4570 Trenton Oxford Rd, Hamilton, Ohio (45011). Friends and family will gather to share memories, find solace in one another's company, and honor the legacy she leaves behind.
