Reuben Benjamin Mundy, 86, born to parents Zach and Gladys Mundy on January 4, 1929.

He was raised in Lockland, Ohio and grew up attending Bethel A.M.E. Church. His father was a traveling gospel singer and his mother a homemaker.

As an adult he served in the United States Coast Guard and was honorably discharged in April 1949. Post military service he completed licensing for barbering and spent over 40 years as a barbershop owner in the downtown community and owned multiple bars/lounges in Cincinnati, Ohio.

He was an avid music lover especially when it came to jazz. His collection of music albums started in his twenties and made him a true aficionado of various musicians in the genre.

He knew many people and was loved as a pillar in the community. Reuben will be missed by all that knew him and grew to love him.
