Obituary

Renecia Mae Davis was born May 29th, 1975, in Milledgeville, Georgia, to Georgia (Washington) Davis, where she spent the first 3 years of her life. She would move with her immediate family to Cincinnati, Ohio, in 1978. She would attend Burton and North Avondale Elementary schools for her formative years. She would attend Crest Hills Junior High School, and she graduated from Woodward High School in 1993. Renecia would enlist in the U.S. Army in 1997, serving 6 years as a Personnel Specialist. While serving in the U.S. Army, she received several medals and accommodations, including the Army Commendation Medal (2nd Award), Army Achievement Medal, Army Good Conduct Medal, National Defense Service Medal, Army Service Ribbon, and Overseas Service Ribbon. Once Renecia left the service, she would continue working in several government contractor roles, finally working as an IT specialist at the Naval Post Graduate School in Monterey, CA. Renecia was baptized at an early age and was a dedicated Christian throughout her life. Renecia always had a bubbly and energetic personality. Her infectious joy for life was endeared by anyone who she encountered. She always showed care for those around her. Her distinctive voice brought smiles to the faces of those who heard her speak.

On March 12th, 2025, God came at 3:17 pm and took back his breath and soul from our dearly beloved Renecia Mae Davis, affectionately leaving behind: Mother: Georgia (D.) Washington, Sister: Hattie Renea (Harold) Washington, Nephews: Daryl Brown and his children, Cody Colvin and his children, Niece: Jah Brock, Brother: Dexter Davis, Niece: Cierra Lewis and her children, Sister: Reneita Davis, Nephews: Chavise Davis and Kalik Lewis and his children, Brother: Derexter (Kristina) Davis, Nephews: Joshua Davis and Jeremiah Davis, Nieces: Elia Davis, Klaira Davis and Olanna Davis, Cousin: George Washington, Cousin: Ronnie Washington, Beloved sister and friend to Georgia: Cathy West.

Visitation is from 10:00 am until 11:00 am, on  Monday, April 21, 2025, at the Walker Funeral Home - Mt. Healthy, 7272 Hamilton Avenue , Mt. Healthy  (45231).   The funeral service will immediately follow the visitation beginning at 11:00 am. Friends and family will gather to share memories, find solace in one another's company, and honor the legacy she leaves behind.

Interment will follow at 2:00 p.m., at Dayton National Cemetery, 4400 West Third Street, Dayton, Ohio 45428.
