Obituary

Reginald Clay Sr. was a devoted husband, father, grandfather uncle, and brother.

Reggie was born March 10, 1955. Reggie was the eldest child of the late Godfrey Clay Sr. and Lurinda Clay. Reggie entered eternal rest on December 4, 2025. Reggie accepted Christ at an early age. He received his education through Cincinnati Public School System, and graduated from Hughes High School in 1973.

Reggie had several professionals throughout his life until he retired from Hamilton Safe after 20 years.

Growing up as Reggie enjoyed playing Bass Guitar. He always was the center of attention, and as Diamond Regg. Reggie touched everyone in a different way by giving them a different piece of his cloth the person that always joke and make you laugh the person that was loveable, caring, and full of energy the person that lift you up the person that talk plenty of ?, and you wanted to know what story he is going to say next. Reggie also enjoyed going to the Race Track, his cars especially a Cadillac Club.

We will all remember Reggie in our own Unique way. His passing left a void in our hears of his family, friends, and many more whose lives was touched by him, but his light will forever shine brightly in our hearts.

He was preceded in death by his parents: Lurinda Clay and Godfrey Clay Sr.; step-father Sheppard Ross Jr.,; son Darryl Edwards; grandson Ravae Blue; grandparents, and niece Lurinda M. Clay.

He leaves to cherish his memories his loving and devoted wife Denise Clay; 2 stepsons Lionel Brisco ( Tamika); Ramon Brisco; sons: Reginald Clay, Reginal (Pico) Clay; daughters: Shan'tel Routt (Jay) Cammy Edwarsd, Felicia Blue (Frank); 13 grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren; 4 sisters- Marcia Tims (Jeffrey); Trina Heines (Ron), Jennifer Gibson Long, Yvette Ross; 4 brothers Michael Clay (Cora); Godfrey Clay (Johnnie) Victor Gibson (Johnnie Mae; Sheppard Ross III; aunts: Susie Ingram, Jennifer Pitts (Tommy) Barbara Jelks, Patricia Sims and Geniva Ross; special cousin Sandra Smihie; Brother-in-law James Hicks ( Tonya) and a host of nieces, nephews, family & friends

Friends are cordially invited to a visitation with the family from 10:00 am until 11:00 am, on Friday, December 19, 2025, at the Bethel Baptist Church, 2712 Alms Place, Cincinnati  (45206). The funeral service will immediately follow the visitation, beginning at 11:00 am. Friends and family will gather to share memories, find solace in one another's company, and honor the legacy he leaves behind.

He will be laid to rest at Spring Grove Cemetery, 4521 Spring Grove Avenue, Cincinnati, Ohio 45232.
