Today, we celebrate the life of Regina Ruth Thomas, lovingly known as “Peaches” who passed away on April 7, 2026, at the age of 66.

Born in Cincinnati, Ohio, at General Hospital, Peaches was raised downtown on York Street, where her story began. A story filled with strength, love, laughter, and unforgettable memories.

Peaches was known for her stern and straightforward nature, but beneath that strong exterior was a heart overflowing with love and compassion. She was the kind of person who told you exactly what you needed to hear and then stood beside you with unwavering loyalty. She loved life and believed in living it fully. Whether spending time with family and friends, enjoying the outdoors, or simply being present in the moment, Peaches embraced every day with intention. If there was a gathering, a celebration, or a function, you could count on her being there never wanting to miss a moment.

Music and dancing brought her pure joy. She would smile, dance and laugh until she was completely worn out and even then, it never seemed to last long. Her energy and spirit were contagious, leaving a lasting impression on everyone fortunate enough to know her.

As a child, Peaches attended Rothenburg Elementary School. Where she shared a special daily tradition walking hand in hand with two siblings and stopping at Mulberry Bakery before school. Those simple routines became cherished memories, reflecting her deep love of family and togetherness.

Later, she moved with her family to Winton Terrace, where she attended Aiken High School and studied Child Development. During those years, she embraced her youth fully, building friendships, enjoying life and creating memories that would last a lifetime.

Peaches was preceded in death by her father, John Howard (February 12, 1990), and her mother, Marian Louise Thomas (July 21, 2010).

She leaves behind her loving children, Andrea Thomas, Latoya Isaac (Maurice), Lakisha Thomas; and her cherished grandchildren, Darren Thomas-Dixon, Devvin Thomas-Dixon, and Kayden Piphus. She is also survived by her six siblings-one brother and five sisters- Marvin (Ruth), Sylvia, Margo, Marian, Wanda, Yvette; along with a host of nieces, nephews, great-nieces, and great-nephews who will continue to carry her love and memory forward.

Peaches leaves behind a legacy of love, strength, and joy that will live on through all who knew her. Her presence, her laughter, and her unforgettable spirit will be deeply missed but never forgotten.

Peaches lived life on her own terms-boldly, honestly, and with a heart that never stopped giving. Through she is no longer with us, her memory will continue to bring smiles, laughter, and warmth to those who loved her. Her life was not defined by her passing, but by the beautiful way she lived.
