Regina Ann
Blunt
August 31, 1956 – April 12, 2026
Regina Ann Blunt was born on August 31, 1956, to her parents, Richard E. Brooks and Helen A. Booker-Brooks. She was a twin and was born in Cincinnati, Ohio. Regina departed this life peacefully on April 12, 2026, and went to her heavenly home.
Regina has several loved ones who preceded her in death: her parents; her two beautiful daughters, Doreen Brooks and Renay Blunt; her twin sister, Freida Mae Curtis; her sister, Carol Amison; and her two brothers, Richard (“Rickey”) Brooks and Paul Brooks.
Early Life
Regina Ann Blunt grew up with her eleven siblings. She was raised in a Christian household, and even with life’s ups and downs, Regina never let go of her faith. She continued to carry the Word of God in her heart. In her earlier years, Regina attended Millville Elementary and Rothenberg Elementary School. During her high school years, she attended Guilford School up until the ninth grade, where she was very active as a cheerleader.
Church
In Regina’s earlier years, she attended St. Paul Holy Temple of Truth under the leadership of Reverend Lorraine Nelson. Regina loved going to church. She had a beautiful voice and loved singing old-fashioned gospel songs, believing they carried deep meaning. Regina also attended True Holiness Covenant of Peace Assembly Church under the leadership of Bishop Alvin Rozler, where she remained a faithful member until her passing.
Family
Regina married the love of her life, Ernest Blunt Sr., and to their union, five children were born. She was also blessed with five grandchildren and a daughter-in-law, whom she treated like her own child.
Regina’s hobbies included cooking—one of her best meals was Reuben sandwiches—and her favorite dessert to make was lemon meringue pie. She also enjoyed walking and singing. One of her favorite songs was “Without God I Can Do Nothing.”
Regina leaves to cherish her memory her husband, Ernest Blunt Sr.; her children, Ernest Blunt Jr. (Lesley), Naomi Blunt, Joshua Blunt, who cared for his mother until her passing, and Keshia Blunt; her five grandchildren, Marcus Blunt, Senca Blunt, Demetris Blunt, Renay Blunt (“Ma-Ma”), and Romeo Blunt; her three sisters, Von Ceil Brown Lucart, Angela Pearson, and Priscilla Kelly; her three brothers, Samuel Brooks, Fontane Brooks, and James Brooks; and her sister-in-law, Ernestine Hamilton. Regina also leaves behind a special host of nieces and nephews, a special cousin, Maxine Brown, and a host of family and friends who loved her.
Mom will truly be missed.
