Rebecca P. Smith was born in Carrollton, Kentucky on July 18, 1921. She was one of 12 children born to the late Ruth and William Smith. Rebecca P. Smith was baptized at Second Baptist Church in Carrollton, Kentucky at an early age. She attended Sunday School, Church and BYPU regularly through childhood. Those to cherish her memory are one son, Stewart Smith; one daughter, Benita Farmer; one granddaughter, Shuana Farmer; three sisters, Alice Harris, Alma Hoskins, and Patricia Phelps; one brother, Herbert Smith, a host of nieces, nephews, and cousins.
