Raymond 'Shorty' Hill was born August 4, 1954 in Summerlee, West Virginia to the union of the late Rev. Eddie and Willie (Trotter) Hill. Raymond departed this life on Tuesday, November 4, 2014 at the University of Cincinnati Hospital. Raymond was the 12th child of 13. He received his education from Hamilton City and Preble County Schools. Raymond accepted Christ as his personal Savior and became a member of the Bethel Baptist Church under the pastorate of the late Dr. Guy Arnold, Jr. Raymond was the proud father of a loving daughter, Pamela and grandfather of Jalyn and Desiree' Ash. Ray loved to fish, cook and attend family gatherings. He was an avid chess and domino player. He was quite helpful and benevolent one who loved his family and friends. Raymond was preceded in death by his parents, Rev. Eddie Hill and Willie Anna (Trotter) Hill; four siblings, William and Major Hill, Willie Stokes and Ruby Coleman. Left to always love and cherish his memory: his daughter, Pamala (Dean) Curtis; granddaughters, Jalyn and Desiree'; three brothers, Eddie Hill, Jr. (Johnetta of Summerlee, West Virginia, Johnny (Connie) Hill of Hamilton, Ohio, and Anthony (Pieper) Hill of Middletown, Ohio; five sisters, Mary Gipson of Hamilton, Loretta Stuckey of Forest Park, OH, Marion HIll, Cathy Ramsey and Emma Hill of Hamilton, Ohio; and a host of nieces, nephews, especially (LT and Boo) other relatives and friends.
