IN LOVING MEMORY OF
Raymond Fate
Griffin
May 16, 1953 – November 18, 2025
In Remembrance of our Beloved Raymond Fate Griffin
Raymond Fate Griffin affectionately known simply as "Ray" to all who knew and loved him, was born on May 16, 1953, in Brown Alabama, to the late Beecher Griffin and Mary Griffin. On November 18, 2025, Ray peacefully departed this life, leaving behind a legacy of dedication, kindness, and quiet strength that will forever remain in the hearts of his family and friends.
Ray spent his childhood surrounded by the values of hard work, faith and family principles that shaped the man he would become. After relocating to Cincinnati, he attended Cincinnati public schools and proudly graduated from Hughes High School. Shortly after graduating, Ray began what would become an extraordinary 52 year career at Cincinnati Electronics, now known as L3 Harris Technologies. His unwavering commitment to his work earned him deep respect from colleagues and supervisors alike. Ray was known as someone who could always be counted on, reliable and dedicated.
Outside of work, Ray's life was rich with the things and people he loved most. Family was the center of his world. He cherished every moment spent with his loved ones, whether he was sharing a quiet conversation, enjoying a home cooked meal or laughing at family gatherings. Some of his happiest memories we made while traveling with his two sisters, exploring new places, and creating experiences they would carry with them forever.
One of Ray's greatest joys in life was his son, Braylon, whom he loved deeply and unconditionally. Ray's pride in his son was evident to everyone who knew him; their bond was strong, sincere, and filled with love, guidance, and unforgettable moments spent together.
Ray was a man of many interests, and he embraced them wholeheartedly. He was well known for his exceptional skill in chess, a game he approached with both strategic sharpness and genuine enjoyment. He also found excitement and entertainment in visiting the casino, where he enjoyed the lively atmosphere and the thrill of testing his luck.
Ray's steady presence, gentle spirit, and loyal nature made him a cherished family member, a trusted friend and a respected coworker.
Ray's life was a testament to dedication, love, and the simple joys that bring meaning to our days. His memory will forever be held close by those who were blessed to know him.
- May he rest in peace
He leaves to cherish his memory his son Braylon Shearer, his sisters Odessa Griffin Blakey, Shelly Bennett, brother-in-law Garey Lindsay and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends and a very special friend Janice Shearer.
