Randrick Chris Joseph Miller, known to us as "Eggy", was born December 25, 1977, to Karen Miller Young and Randy Hicks in Cincinnati, Ohio. He was called home to be with the Lord on May 14, 2016, at the age of 38. Although his family will miss him, we know that Eggy happily walked into the arms of his loving Grandmother, Cora Miller and Grandfather, Robert Britton. Eggy was baptized at Southern Baptist Church under the leadership of Rev. John E. Milton, where he accepted Christ at an early age. The oldest of 3 kids, Eggy loved baseball, basketball and football. Eggy attended Withrow High School, and loved learning mathematics. He later earned his GED and attended Southern Ohio College where he studied business. More recently, Eggy embarked on a career in the culinary field, where he found his passion for cooking. Eggy had a great sense of humor and enjoyed listening to various types of music. He would often get in his sister Candace's car and turn the music all the way up and mess up her hair. He loved to eat Chinese food, salads and fruit. Eggy was very quiet and laid back. He will be remembered for his big "sneaky" smile, his laugh, his love for Polo shirts, and his great taste in colognes. He had a big heart and loved his family. In fact, his weekends were always spent with his Grandma Cora. Eggy was very protective of his grandmother and loved her dearly. Eggy was preceded in death by his grandmothers, Cora Miller and Gertrude Hicks, his grandfathers, Robert Britton and Floyd Hicks, and his cousin, Gregory Miller. Eggy leaves to celebrate his memory: a loving mother Karen Young and stepfather Maurice Young, father, Randy Hicks, sister, Jamilah, brother, Jarell, daughters, Alaysia and Haley, uncles, Otis Miller, Anthony Miller and Michael (Patricia) Hicks, aunts, Vicki (Carlos) Sohan, Sharon (Kenneth) Woods, Wanda Wilks, Shanda Miller, Aileen (Keith) Glass, nieces, Shaniyah, Shakirah and Ryleigh, a host of very close family members and special friends. We love and will miss you son, father, brother, cousin and friend. Footprints in the Sand One night I dreamed a dream. As I was walking along the beach with my Lord. Across the dark sky flashed scenes from my life. For each scene, I noticed two sets of footprints in the sand, One belonging to me and one to my Lord. After the last scene of my life flashed before me, I looked back at the footprints in the sand. I noticed that at many times along the path of my life, especially at the very lowest and saddest times, there was only one set of footprints. This really troubled me, so I asked the Lord about it. 'Lord, you said once I decided to follow you, You'd walk with me all the way. But I noticed that during the saddest and most troublesome times of my life, there was only one set of footprints. I don't understand why, when I needed You the most, You would leave me.' He whispered, 'My precious child, I love you and will never leave you Never, ever, during your trials and testings. When you saw only one set of footprints, It was then that I carried you.'
