Mrs. Queen Isabella (Gordon) Hooper was born January 26, 1929 to the union of Joseph & Elizabeth Gordon in Savannah, Georgia. She departed this life at the age of 86 on Sunday June 7th, 2015. She belongs to the United Church of God and Christ in Savannah, Georgia. Queen was preceded in death by her loving parents Joseph & Elizabeth Gordon & husband Edward (Sam) Hooper, 4 sisters Josephine, Minnie, Martha & Betsy and 2 brothers Bishop Roosevelt & Lewis. Her son Ronald Gordon & daughter n law Toni Michelle Spikes & grandsons Riccardo(Potty) & Charles(CJ)… Queen was known as Mrs. Queenie to many people around the neighborhood. She did a lot of volunteer work in the community with a host of friends. During her duration on earth she even went back to school to finish her education many years ago. Queen enjoyed cooking, playing bingo, taking vacations and praising God in the comfort of her home. But most of all she enjoyed being around her FAMILY! She leaves to cherish her precious memories…her brother Willie James Gordon, her children Willie Gordon(Linda), George (Edward) Gordon, Jerome Gordon(Yvette), Anthony Gordon(Mary), Isadore (Izzy) Hooper, Delores (Wanda) Gordon, Doris Ann Gordon, Karen (Steve) Keesee, Sharon Hooper, 21 grandkids, 44 great grandkids, 23 great great grandkids and a host of relatives and friends. Visitation is from 10:00 am until 11:00 am, on Tuesday, June 16, 2015, at the House of Hope Formerly New Prospect Baptist Church (Old Location), 1829 Elm Street, Cincinnati (45202). The funeral service will immediately follow the visitation beginning at 11:00 am. Interment is in Walnut Hills Cemetery at Cincinnati, Ohio. You may express online condolences at www.HerbWalker.com.
