Princeton Clifford
Monroe
December 4, 1957 — September 19, 2026
Cincinnati
In the name of Allah, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful.
Princeton Clifford Monroe was born on December 4, 1957. Princeton was the third oldest child of the late Clifford Monroe and Elizabeth Mason Monroe. He departed this life on September 19, 2026, at the age of 68.
Princeton graduated from Hughes High School and went on to work as a phlebotomist at University Hospital.
Princeton loved music. He enjoyed singing and dancing, and his favorite song to sing was “This Is How We Do It” by Montell Jordan. He would often insert his name into parts of the song when singing it.
Princeton’s life was defined by resilience, dedication, and grace. A milestone of immense pride for him and his family was his 30 years of continuous sobriety—a testament to his profound strength of character, spiritual discipline, and desire to live a life of purpose and clarity. His journey inspired many, and he remained a pillar of support for those walking similar paths.
A devout Muslim, Princeton walked through life with deep faith, humility, and an unwavering commitment to his community and his beliefs.
He was preceded in death by his beloved sisters, Francine Earls and Renee Bell; and his brothers, Demetrius Mason, Clifford Berry, and Charles Hubbard.
He leaves behind a legacy carried forward by his surviving family members. He was the loving father of five children: Terrin Monroe, Princeton Clifford Monroe-Roberson (Julia), Brian Ramsey, Wyvon Monroe, and Malika Monroe. He is also survived by 14 grandchildren; his brothers, Anthony Monroe, Clifford Hubbard, Keith Hubbard, George Ramsey, and Reginald Ramsey; and his sisters, Cheryl Monroe, Crystal Clayton, Robin Butler, Angel Hubbard, Cheryl Ramsey, and Angel Ramsey. He also leaves behind a host of nieces, nephews, family members, and friends who will forever cherish his memory.
“Inna lillahi wa inna ilayhi raji'un” — Surely we belong to Allah, and to Him we shall return.
