Pollyane Kirksey was born on March 4, 1959 to Arthur & Mary Francis Kirksey in Cincinnati, Ohio. She departed this life on Sunday, December 16, 2018.

Pollyane, affectionately called Polly, grew up in the West End of Cincinnati. She attended Cincinnati Public Schools and graduated from Western Hills High School. After high school she studied accounting at the University of Cincinnati. She worked at Longview and the City of Cincinnati. Polly enjoyed traveling, international foods and shopping. She has traveled to Jamaica and Nassau Bahamas among many other places.

Polly was a kindred, sweet spirit who loved children, especially her nieces and nephews. She accepted the Lord at a young age and was a faithful member of Higher Faith Ministries where she served in the food pantry ministry. We will miss Polly deeply, but she will forever be in our hearts and memories.

Polly was preceded in death by her beloved son, Ranear Arthur Kirksey Sr.; parents, Arthur & Mary Francis Kirksey; and sister, Gladys Mae Nelson.

She leaves to cherish her memory: brother, Arthur (Bernice) Kirksey Jr., and sister, Ann C. Mathews; grandchildren, Ry'Ayeirh Kirksey, Ranear Kirksey Jr., Joey Ferguson and her adopted granddaughter, Reign Tidwell; her close friends Gail Holiman and Steve Hopgood. She also leaves to cherish a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.

Visitation is from 10:00 am until 11:00 am, on  Saturday, December 22, 2018, at the Higher Faith Ministries, 1331 Southland Blvd, Forest Park  (45240).   The funeral service will immediately follow the visitation beginning at 11:00 am.
