Obituary

Phyllis Gregory was born on June 28, 1938, in Toledo, Ohio, to her loving parents, the late Arsadie and William Nicholson.

Phyllis graduated from Central State College and dedicated over 30 years of service as a Social Worker with the Hamilton County Department of Human Services, where she touched countless lives through her compassion and commitment.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Arsadie and William A. Nicholson; father, Alexander S. Davis; stepmother, Daisy Davis; her sisters, Una Nicholson, Lynn Davis; and her brother, Alexander M. Davis.

Phyllis leaves behind cherished memories with her two sons, Keenan Gregory and Harold Gregory; her beloved grandson, Garren Peterson; her brothers, William Nicholson (Jendia) and Duane Davis (Gloria); her sister, Darlene Nicholson-Booker (Maurice); special niece, Stacey Nicholson-Arnold, and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and dear friends.

At an early age, Phyllis gave her life to Christ and was baptized at Tryed Stone Missionary Baptist Church, where she faithfully served as a missionary. Her unwavering faith was the cornerstone of her life.

Phyllis enjoyed crafting, traveling, and most of all, spending time with her family and friends. Her warmth and joy were felt by everyone who knew her.

On Wednesday evening, October 29, 2025, Phyllis was called home to be with the Lord, receiving her wings and entering the gates of Heaven to dwell in His presence.

She will be deeply missed but forever remembered for her love, faith, and kindness.
