Phillip Renfro was born June 27, 1949. He was the 5th child born to James W. Renfro Sr. and Armentress Renfro. Phillip. Phillip was a graduate of Garfield High School. He had a love for martial arts and one of his favorite hobbies was building cars and he also enjoyed racing cars. Phillip retired from S.O.S. Steel and he was also employed at G.E. and P &G for more than 30 years. Phillip was an active member of Tried Stone No. 83 Hamilton, Ohio and a member of Miami Consistory No. 26 of Dayton, Ohio of the United Supreme Council #33. Phillip as a child was raised up in Payne Chapel A.M.E. He knew the Lord at an early age. Phillip loved his father, mother, brothers, sisters and all of his children and grandchildren and his whole family. Phillip leaves to cherish his memory: 11 brothers and sisters. Barbara Gibbs, James W. Renfro Jr. (Sandya) Richard Renfro (JoAnn) Michael Renfro (Roberta), Dino Renfro, Cortez Renfro, Benita Bankston, Stephaine Lynn, Julian Clover. Phillip had six children, Philip L. Cher Renfro, Phillip A. Renfro, (Stacey), Phillip A. (Smallwood) Renfro, Linda M. Renfro (Ray) Armmentress J. Renfro, Jessica Renfro; nine grandchildren, Tanicia Goins, Lawatha Cher Renfro, LaJaun Cher Renfro, Chasidy Renfro, Rico Renfro, Phillip Cher Renfro, Desinee Oatis, Calvin Long; special great granddaughter Aubryana Barnes, eight great grandchildren a host of uncles and aunts and nieces and nephews. Phillip was preceded him in death by his father James W. Renfro Sr., his mother Armentress Renfro and his sister Melanie Renfro and his nephew Reggie Gibbs and a special sister-in-law that he loved dearly. Visitation is from 10:00 am until 11:00 am, on Monday, April 6, 2015, at the Bethel Baptist Church of Hamilton, 414 South 11th Street, Hamilton, Ohio (45011). The funeral service will immediately follow the visitation beginning at 11:00 am. Interment is at Greenwood Cemetery at Hamilton, Ohio. You may express online condolences at www.HerbWalker.com.
