IN LOVING MEMORY OF
Perry
Jones
November 27, 1941 – October 8, 2014
Perry Jones, age 72, passed away Wednesday, October 8, 2014, in Cincinnati, Ohio. He was born November 27, 1941 in Cincinnati, Ohio. Perry Jones was born in Cincinnati, Ohio on November 27, 1941 to parents Perry Jones and Leslie B. Pope, both whom preceded him in death. Perry made his transition from this earthly life to eternal life with his Lord and Savior on Wednesday, October 8, 2014 at Christ Hospital surrounded by family. Perry attended Catholic and Cincinnati Public Schools. He began a 30 year working career as an assembler with General Motors (Norwood, Ohio) and Fisher Body (Fairfield/Hamilton Plant) and retired in 1988. Perry was joined in holy matrimony to Minnie Lewis on December 24, 1960 and to this union six children were born (1) daughter (5) sons, one son preceded him in death. Perry would always take time to have a conversation with anyone; he never met a stranger and befriended a lot of people. At an early age, he learned to enjoy music and acquired an extensive collection of music his favorite artist were the "Temptations", he also enjoyed watching movies and "CSI". He was a very generous person, who enjoyed cooking and would share his bounty with everyone. Perry could sometimes be stubborn and always had to have the "last word". He was an amazing friend, father, grandfather, brother, uncle, cousin, nephew or whatever you wanted him to be; even though his words and behavior sometimes made you think differently. He lived a fruitful and enjoyable life and loved socializing with friends. He may have lost his "spot" in the world, but he will never lose his place in our hearts and memory. He is home now where there is no more pain and burdens; our hearts are heavy, but our spirits should be lifted knowing that he is now and forever watching over all of us, he will truly be missed. He is survived by: his devoted and loyal wife Minnie of 53 years; their five children (1) daughter (4) sons (2) brothers (1) brother preceded him in death, (2) sisters a host of grandchildren, nieces, nephews, cousins, aunts, uncles, in-laws, many friends, a host of other children whom he loved very much, and long time special friends Willie Thompson of Cincinnati, Ohio, and Robert Riley (Big Butch) of Orlando FL., and long time companion his (DOG) P.J. better known as "Baby".
