Obituary

Perry Lee Amison was born on January 19, 1962 in Cincinnati, Ohio to Floyd Caldwell and Ollie Mae Amison.

At a young age, Perry was taught the word of God and had accepted Jesus Christ as his Lord and Savior.

After receiving his GED, Perry attended the College of Southwestern, where he was an apprentice learning electrical, plumbing, building maintenance and rehabbing.

Perry worked for Sherby Chermin of Quality Builders Home Improvement Company under the supervision of Dale Johnson as a Laborer Contractor Supervisor.  Dale was Perry's mentor and a father figure.  He also taught him how to work on automobiles.  After Dale's retirement, Perry continued to work with Dale's son, Jonathan Johnson.  Perry and Jonathan were more than friends, they called each other brother.

Rick Johnson was one of Perry's best friends and confidant.  He loved Perry as his very own brother.  Rick is an over-the-road truck driver and at times he would take Perry on the road with him.  He would also take Perry on a boat to go fishing because this is what Perry loved to do.

Johnny Gordon grew up with Perry.  He was our next door neighbor who bonded, worked and became his best friend, they were like brothers.  With his outgoing spirit Perry liked trying to cap on his friends and family.  He has many friends and he would call them all his brothers and sisters.

Perry was a family man who loved his children, there wasn't anything he wouldn't do for them.  He put his children before his own well being.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Floyd and Ollie; wife, Tina Middlebrooks Amison; one sister, Betty L. Ainsley; one brother, Elbert Amison, Jr and Charlene Behanan (mother of his children).

Perry departed this life for his heavenly home on January 25, 2019.

He leaves to cherish his loving memory:  17 children, Donnta Behanan, Darlene Behanan, Rodney Behanan, Lawonder Behanan, Terri Behanan, Sherri Amison, Donicoe Amison, Ryan Amison, Mesiah Amison, Mezahn Amison, Trezjure Amison, Savior Amison, Is-Real Amison, Brilliant Amison, Legacy Amison, Hosea Amison and Prayer Amison; four brothers, Leo Amison, Alvin Caldwell, Terry Caldwell and Stephen Crawford; eight sisters, Donnie Williams, Johnnie Amison, Martha Owensby (Darryl Gaines), Darlene (Charles) Gaines, Doreen (Larry) Dennis, Flora (Michael) Lear, Lenora Caldwell and Florence Axile, 32 grandchildren, five great grandchildren, Dawnita Green (mother of his children), a host of other loving relatives and many dear friends.
