Pauline Lewis was born on March 12, 1946, in White Plains, Georgia, to the late Nadell Lewis and Lucy Mae Lewis (née Tucker). On August 31, 2026, she departed this life at the age of 80, leaving behind a legacy of love, family, and cherished memories.

Pauline was a member of New Prospect Baptist Church, where she faithfully served on the Usher Board until her retirement. Her faith was an important part of her life, and she enjoyed being a part of her church family.

Pauline worked in the healthcare industry as a nurse and retired after many years of dedicated service. Through her work, she demonstrated her compassion and commitment to caring for others. Her years of service reflected the same love and care that she shared with her family and friends.

Pauline was an avid music fan, and you could often hear tunes radiating through the walls of her home. Her love for music spanned many genres, and she especially enjoyed the soulful sounds of The O’Jays, The Whispers, and Frankie Beverly & Maze, as well as uplifting gospel music from many artists. Whether she was listening to smooth old-school R&B, soul, jazz, or gospel, music had a way of filling her home and lifting her spirit. These artists provided the soundtrack to many special moments throughout her life. Music brought Pauline great joy and became a meaningful part of the memories, celebrations, and everyday moments she shared with her family and friends.

Above all, Pauline was a loving mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister, aunt, and friend. Her life was centered around her family, and she shared her love with those closest to her. She will be remembered for the special moments, laughter, and memories she created with the people she loved.

Pauline was preceded in death by her parents, Nadell Lewis and Lucy Mae Lewis (née Tucker); her sisters, Debra Ann Lewis and Charleen “Red” Brown; her granddaughter, Brianna Watkins; and her great-grandchildren, Ja’onna Watkins and Car’Mel Weathers.

She leaves to cherish her memory her loving children, Denise Antoinette, Shawn Andre (Denise), and Dionna Lewis; her siblings, Ricardo, Odell (Pat), Jefferey (Keisha), and Charles Lewis; and her special nieces, Sharneeka and Sharee Sherman, whom she raised as her own.

Her legacy continues through her grandchildren, Shawnda, Lamont, and Bianca Watkins Tirell Sartor, Tyneisha, Joy, Nadell, and Kelton Lewis, Kevin P. Coes Jr.; and her great-grandchildren, Stephon Watkins, Charles and Charlia Weathers, Na'Shia Lewis, Brianna Watkins, Janylah Weaver, and Demetria Weathers. She also leaves behind a host of nieces, nephews, extended family members, church family, and friends who will forever cherish her memory.

Although Pauline is no longer with us physically, her love will continue to live on through the generations of family she leaves behind. The memories she created, the love she shared, and the lives she touched will remain in our hearts forever.

Her love touched our lives. Her legacy lives on.

Forever loved. Forever remembered.
