Pauline Elizabeth Ray -Thomas was born on June 27, 1934, to the late Maurice and Jenny Scott in Cincinnati, Ohio. Pauline was one of four children, Mary Wright, Morris R. Scott who preceded her in death and one living brother Barry Scott of Valdosta, Georgia also born to that union. At a young age, Pauline accepted Christ as her personal savior and was baptized at the First Baptist Church of Cumminsville. She attended Garfield Elementary and graduated from Hughes High School. As she go oler Pauline became actively affiliated with the Eastern Stars, Courts of Calanthe and the Knights of Pythians. Pauline was a loving and devoted mother, a woman who was determined to keep her family together. She was the Resident Coordinator at Garfield Housing. She had a pasion for working with children. She loved teaching them how to garden and every child in her care had toys and clothes for Christmas and food for Thanksgiving.Pauline loved baking cookies for all the kids in the neighborhood. She worked at Childrens' Hospital as a dietician and at Dit & Bennys Cafe. Pauline's latest job was at John Swift Printing Company where she retired. With one grandson, Quincy Ray, preceding her in death she leaves to cherish her memory three daughters, Carolyn Finley (Alvin), Paula Judon (Richard) and Shawna Ray (Rayshawn) and one son, Brian Keith Ray, two grandsons, Ronricco, Allen (Shelby), Cordero Honaker, granddaughters, Javari Trimm (Lee), Patricianna Ray, Danielle Ray, Alisha Ray and a host of great grandchildren, nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends. Pauline's unwavering love, encouragement and nurturing spirit will truly be missed. Visitation is from 6:00 pm until 7:00 pm, on Thursday, October 8, 2015, at the First Baptist Church of Cumminsville, 3640 Roll Avenue, Cincinnati (45223). The funeral service will immediately follow the visitation beginning at 7:00 pm. Pallbearers: Harry Spiller, Devin Wright, Tony Scott, John Jenkins, Anthony Wright, Lucious Hill.
