Obituary

Paul E. Lee was born on January 2, 1950, in Cincinnati, Ohio, to the late Colonel and Odessa Hill Lee. Paul left this earth on November 7, 2016. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his younger brother, Stephen A. Lee. He was the second oldest child of Odessa Hill Lee. Paul spent his formative years in the Corryville area. He went to Samuel Ach Junior High and Hughes High School. Paul played football and other sports. He was a fierce competitor. He accepted Christ at an early age. At age sixteen, he joined the Job Corps, where he studied to be a heavy equipment operator in Duluth, Minnesota. Paul signed up for the Marine Corps at age seventeen and shipped out for boot camp on his 18th birthday. He spent all of his tour of duty in Vietnam. The result of that experience left him with a severe case of Post-Traumatic Stress Syndrome. He never recovered from it. Paul loved the outdoors - hunting and fishing. He was born and raised in the city, but like his mother, he was country to the bone. He leaves to mourn his younger sister, Brenda M. Johnson of Decatur, Georgia, older brother, Larry D. Hill of Cincinnati, Ohio, and a host of relatives and friends.
