IN LOVING MEMORY OF
Paul Richard
Botts
June 11, 1937 – March 3, 2019
Paul Richard Botts was the son of the late Clarence and Nannie Dee Botts. He was the youngest of 15 children, born on June 11, 1937 in Owingsville, Kentucky.
He united in holy matrimony to Jean Bond on November 19, 1959 and their union was blessed with three beautiful children, Steven, Paula and Richard.
Paul found First Baptist Church in Mt. Sterling, Kentucky and accepted Christ at a young age. Later he joined First Baptist Church of Elsmere where he was a Deacon and Usher. Paul was in the choir, served on the Board of Trustees, and the breakfast and janitorial ministries. He was a loyal and dependable employee of Harris Construction of Erlanger, Kentucky for 43 years. Paul was a hardworking Godly man all of his life; he was featured in several newspaper articles for his craft and passion for people. He spent most of his summer days on the backyard lot splitting wood, in preparation of winter. He was "the man on the front porch" in Elsmere, and he waved at every single person as they passed by. Paul did not know a stranger; he was caring, compassionate and his love was never ending for every person he knew.
He leaves behind to cherish his memory: his devoted and faithful wife of 59 years, Jean Botts; brother, John Botts; three children, Steven (Vicki) Botts, Paula (Michael) Crouthers and Richard (Gail) Botts, 16 grandchildren, 19 great grandchildren and a host of other loving relatives and friends.
Visitation is from 10:00 am until noon, on Saturday, March 9, 2019, at the First Baptist Church of Elsmere, 1007 Garvey Avenue, Erlanger (41018). The funeral service will immediately follow the visitation beginning at 12 noon.
Interment will follow at Mary E. Smith Cemetery, 1120 Martin Luther King Blvd., Elsmere, Kentucky 41018.
