Patricia Ann "Pat" Jones, born on October 30, 1948, in Cincinnati, Ohio, left this world on February 4, 2025, in the same city that she loved and called home throughout her vibrant life. Pat was a beloved mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister, and friend, known for her infectious laugh, warm smile, and the love she had for her family and friends. Pat was the cherished daughter of her late parents and grew up in a lively household with her siblings Lafawn Calhoun, Renee Perry, Jeneen (Stanley) West, Wanda (Jerry) Woofork, Darryl Calhoun, and Terry (Sherri) Calhoun. She carried the joy and closeness of her childhood throughout her life, sharing it with everyone she met. A proud graduate of Withrow High School, Pat's thirst for knowledge and her dedication to her community were evident early on. Her professional journey was marked by her service with several esteemed organizations, including the Internal Revenue Service, Shillito's, General Motors Corporation, and MedMart. She eventually retired from the Central Community Health Board, where she left a lasting impact through her tireless work and commitment to others. Pat's life was a testament to her enduring spirit and zest for life. She never missed a chance to dance, whether it was during family gatherings or while out with friends, her movements capturing the joy she found in every beat. Her passion for photography allowed her to document the precious moments of life, leaving behind a treasure trove of memories for her loved ones to cherish. Always ahead of the curve, Pat was fascinated by the latest gadgets, and her sense of style was impeccable; she was known for her trendy attire, always perfectly coordinated, with a special fondness for her favorite color, purple. Her love for shopping was more than a hobby; it was an expression of her personality, vibrant and full of life. Pat was the doting mother to her daughter, Danielle Jones, and her sons, Dion and Donte Jones. She reveled in her role as a grandmother to Darris (Nicole) Jones, Michael Jones Sr., Demetrius Jones, DeMarko Jones, Delilah Jones, Nakiya Jones, Khalil Jones, and Tay Tay Jones, and as a great-grandmother to Michael Jones Jr., De'Aira Jones, Amiyah Jones, De'Airris Jones, Majesty Jones, Royale Jones, Naveer Jones, and Messiah Jones. Her love for her family was boundless, and she was their unwavering support system, their guiding light, and their heart. In her community, Pat was known as someone who never met a stranger. She helped everyone she could, offering a helping hand or a word of encouragement when it was needed the most. She embodied the words of Maya Angelou, "People will forget what you said, people will forget what you did, but people will never forget how you made them feel." Pat made everyone feel special, seen, and valued. Pat leaves behind a legacy of love, laughter, and kindness. Her sisters, brothers, and aunt Elaine Menifee, along with a host of nieces, nephews, and friends, will forever remember the light she brought into their lives. Pat's memory will live on in the stories told, the pictures shared, and the lives she touched. A life so beautifully lived deserves to be beautifully remembered. Please join us in celebrating the life of Patricia Ann "Pat" Jones, a woman who danced through life with grace, captured moments with love, and laughed in a way that echoed in the hearts of all who knew her. She will be deeply missed, but her spirit will continue to inspire us every day
Visitation is from 10:00 am until 11:00 am, on Wednesday, February 26, 2025, at the Walker Funeral Home - Walnut Hills Chapel, 2625 Gilbert Avenue, Cincinnati (45206). The funeral service will immediately follow the visitation beginning at 11:00 am. Friends and family will gather to share memories, find solace in one another's company, and honor the legacy she leaves behind.
Interment will follow at Vine Street Hill Cemetery, 3701 Vine Street, Cincinnati, Ohio 45220.
