Patrice Rayne
Oliver
March 17, 1974 – April 26, 2026
We are gathered here today in loving memory of Patrice Rayne Oliver, affectionately known as Penny.
Penny was born on March 17, 1974, in Cincinnati, Ohio, to Francesa Oliver and Ronnie Garnett, who preceded her in death. Penny was called home on April 26, 2026.
Penny was a woman of undeniable creativity. She had a natural gift for bringing things to life—whether through her ideas, her energy, or the meals she prepared with love. She was an amazing cook, someone who could turn simple ingredients into something unforgettable, just like she did with the relationships in her life.
She had a spirit that drew people in. Anyone who had the privilege of becoming her friend knew her kindness, her warmth, and her ability to make people feel seen and valued. Penny didn’t just have friends—she built lasting bonds that felt like family.
Penny also had a way of creating moments that will never be forgotten. If you ever sat with her, you might remember her slowly drifting off to sleep—only to quickly say, “I’m not sleep,” the moment someone pointed it out. That was Penny—full of personality, humor, and a presence that made even the simplest moments special.
Her greatest joy was her family, especially her beloved grandchildren. She poured into her grandchildren the same way she did everything else — with her whole heart and both hands. She loved deeply and wholeheartedly, and that love will continue to live on in all who knew her.
Penny leaves to cherish her memory: her sisters, Catrina and Monica; brother Deangelo, her daughters, Myana and Dimiya; her sons, DelRico, Fabien, and Azarion; and a host of grandchildren, extended family, and dear friends.
Though she is no longer with us in body, her love, her laughter, and her spirit will remain with us always.
