Oymma Lisa C 'Yada'' Barker 56 years old, native of Louisville, Kentucky, pass away December 21, 2014, after a long battle with cancer, peacefully with her family by her side. Uma was born to the late Edward C. Hampton (biological) Williams and Roberta Barker (adopted) on January 7, 1958. At an early age,Oymma was baptized at St. Stephens Baptist Church and accepted God into her life. Oymma Graduated at the age of 16 from DuPont Manual High School in 1975. She continued her education at Eastern Kentucky University where she met her son's father, Robert Auther Payne (deceased). After college, they relocated to Cincinnati Ohio. his hometown to pursue better opportunities. Oymma was the Director of Member Services at Cincinnati Works until 2011. She was passionate and devoted to helping impoverished to self sufficiency and spreaded her compassion to the imprisoned that were involved in the Cincinnati Initiative to Reduce Violence Project CIRV. Her cultural interest stated with youth modeling,playing the harp and at nine years, participating in the national piano recitals, Her passions were fishing with her son, singing,. cooking, sewing, eating out with friends, a good cowboy western with her grandchildren and beloved dog Blanco, She also enjoyed with friends the 5K, making strides against breast cancer walk/run. Oymma leaves to cherish her memory: one son Robert Giovanni Payne III, granddaughter,Rielle S. Payne, grandson, Robert Gionni Payne IV, stepdaughter, Toni D. Cooper, three step-grandchildren, Tya Warden, Shaniece and Kristian Harper, two step-great-grandchildren, Gabrielle Warden and Ju'lez Harper, and a host of well loved relatives and dear friends.
