Ovetta Shelton was born on July 14, 1953, in Cincinnati, Ohio.  She was educated in the Cincinnati Public School System and graduated from Withrow High School in 1972.

Ovetta was a private person.  To know her was to love her.  She had a genuine smile and gracious air.  She had a good positive vibe and great spirit.

She later married Rick Hall.

She was employed by the Board of Education as a secuity guard for many yhears.  She later moved to the Regency on Madison Road.

She loved macaroni and cheese.  Her favotie singer was Aretha Franklin, her favorite dance was the Robot.  She always made you smile and laugh.  She loved to party and BBQ with family and friends.

She was preceded in death by her loving and devoted parents, Thomas and Vinney L. Shelton; brother, Marion "Melvin" Shelton; sisters, Mary L. Shelton and Patricia Ann Shelton.

She leaves to cherish her memory, her brothers, Thomas, Jerome, Terry, Allen, Larry, and Austin/Oscar; sisters, Beulah Johnson, Carrie Sanders, Alice Shelton, and Belinda Ridgeway.  Special friends, Isaac Steveson, Denise Wendstead, and Jewell Williams.  Special thanks to a loving sister, Carrie "Peaches: Sanders and Z Brothers Jerome "Boleg" Shelton, also Terry "Moon" Shelton.

Visitation is Friday, September 27, 2019 from 2:00 pm to 3:00 pm at the Walker Event Center, 3939 Reading Road, Cincinnati (45229).   The funeral service will immediately follow the visitation beginning at 3:00 pm.
