Otis Clayton Herron was a source of price and encouragement to his family and friends.  Otis was born on October 13, 1980 and was subsequently adopted as an infant by Pastor Joseph and Julia Herron, who loved and nutured him.  As a preacher's kid, Otis accepted Christ at an early age and was baptized by his father Pastor Joseph Clayton Herron at the Beecher Street Church of Christ.  He attended Aiken High School in Cincinnati, Ohio, but was unable to complete his education due to persistent asthma, which led to frequent and lengthy hospital stays.  After the passing of his beloved mother, Julia in 1995.  His father Joseph met and married Carol J. Anderson in July 1996.  His stepmother, Carol, loved and raised Otis as her own.

In spite of his frequent battles with asthma, Otis lived life to the fullest extent and had the ability to befriend people of all ages, talents, and strengths.  His openness and acceptance of others was a testament to his courage and compassion with which he faced life.  Otis and Saeida Wilson became the proud parents of their son, R-Nez Herron, who was born on October 17, 2001.  He was the pride and joy of Otis' life.

Otis' untimely death on January 12, 2018, was a deep loss to his family and friends.  He was preceded in death by his parents, Pastor Joseph Clayton and Julia Herron.  He is survived by his son, R-Nez Herron; stepmother, Carol J. Herron; step-sisters, Deborah Bell and Ruby (Brian) Mullens;  step-brothers, Mark Holley and Darrell Holley; aunts, Janice (Philip) Fields and Ruth Grant and a host of  nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends, who will continue to cherish his memory.
