Omega Dudley Watkins was born to the late Reed and Kate Street in Sylagauga, Alabama on September 6, 1935. Omega was the youngest of nine children. She was preceded in death by one brother and two sisters: Louise Butler, McClure Street, and Lucille McGhee. Omega graduated from New Miami Public School systems and received her high school diploma. Omega enjoyed special times with her children, grandchildren and great grandchildren. She also enjoyed bingo, playing cards and going to the horse races with her brother. Omega also enjoyed cooking and baking her special dishes during the holiday seasons. She really enjoyed her Tyler Perry movies too. Omega's legacy will be her strong Christian values, her family and the friendships that she developed over the years. Omega was a member of Bethel Baptist Church for more than forty years under the leadership of the late Rev. Dr. Guy Arnold, the church in which she raised her five children. She leaves to cherish her memory her five children: Karen Brown, Sharon Brown, Mark Brown (Vickie), Wayne Brown (Rebeka), Richard Watkins, one sister, Catherine Bradley, Lindenwald, OH. She also leaves to cherish her memory a host of grandchildren, great grandchildren, nieces, nephews, cousins, and many friends. Visitation is from 11:00 am until 12:00 pm, on Thursday, August 27, 2015, at the Bethel Baptist Church - Hamilton Ohio, 414 S. 11th Street, Hamilton (45011). The funeral service will immediately follow the visitation beginning at 12 noon. Interment is in Greenwood Cemetery at Hamilton, Ohio. You may express online condolences at www.HerbWalker.com.
