NOSAKHARE ALBERT EKHATOR "The fear of death follows from the fear of life. A man who lives fully is prepared to die at any time." ― Mark Twain Nosakhare Albert Ekhator, 66, was born on May 4, 1949 in Benin City, Edo State Nigeria to Emwionkpaekhian Ekhator (Nee Osunde) and Omozuwa Ekhator. Nosa immigrated to the United States in 1977 to pursue his education in sciences, earning a Bachelor of Science at Southern University and a Master of Science at Tennessee State University. He departed this life on February 25, 2016. He was a devoted husband, father, brother, uncle, and grandfather. Nosa Ekhator Sr. and Rose Ekhator were married on March 15, 1976. They have three beautiful children Nosakhare Ekhator Jr., Omozuwa Ekhator, and Osunde Ekhator. Nosa worked in scientific research at Vanderbilt University until moving his family to Cincinnati in 1993. He recently retired from the University of Cincinnati and the Department of Veterans Affairs Hospital as a Research Scientist. During his career he published a number of significant articles in psychoneuroendocrinology. Nosa recently was sworn in as a United States Citizen. He will be greatly missed. He is survived by his wife, Rose Ekhator; children, Nosakhare Ekhator Jr., Omozuwa Ekhator, Osunde Ekhator, Keith Ekhator, and Erny Mccray; and two grandchildren Omouryi Ekhator and Adrian Ekhator and a host of other relatives and friends. Visitation is from 10:00 am until 11:00 am, on Saturday, March 5, 2016, at the St. Mark AME Zion Church, 9208 Daly Road, Cincinnati (45231). The funeral service will immediately follow the visitation beginning at 11:00 am. Interment will follow Crown Hill Memorial Gardens in Colerain Township, Ohio.
