Norman Woodburn Evans, affectionately known as "Woody" was born in Covington, Kentucky on September 19, 1925. His father and mother preceded him in death. He departed this life on Tuesday, December 7, 1993 in Cincinnati, Ohio.
He served in the United States Army in 1944 and was honorably discharged in 1946. He re-enlisted in 1951 to 1954.
He leaves to cherish his memory, his six children, Norma Jean Mackey, Michael Evans, Shirley Evans, Janice Rocquemore, Theresa Evans, Cheryl Evans. He leaves his eight grandchildren, Lynn Mackey, Felicia Mackey, Danielle Evans, Carldico Evans, Tiffany Rocquemore, Shawn Evans, Jasmine Evans, Alex Evans, and Bianca Evans; two great-grandchildren, Eric Mackey and Baron Mackey. His niece Karen Foster and a host of other relatives and friends.
Funeral services 11:00 a.m., Monday, December 13, 1993, at Walker Funeral Home, 2625 Gilbert Ave., Walnut Hills. Rev. James Mobley will officiate.
Interment will follow at Dayton National Cemetery. Pallbearers: Michael Evans, Michael Smith, Oscar Smith, Richard Headen.
