Obituary

Norman A. Dungey was born the sixth child of Norman and Ruth (Cooper) Dungey December 9, 1947. He was raised in Lansing, Michigan and graduated from Sexton High School. Norman (Sonnie) as he was known to the family professed his belief in Christ at an early and after moving to Cincinnati in 1987 united with the New Friendship Baptist Church under Pastor H.L. Harvey Jr. He married Karen L. Ellis in 1989 and they had one son Clayton Montiez. Norman was known for his love of cooking and often talked about opening his own restaurant. He also loved to drive and landed a job as a professional chauffeur. He took great pride in his job and had the cleanest car of any driver. Being a people person as he was, the people he drove soon became more than just his customers, they became his friends. Norman is preceded in death by his parents, Norman and Ruth; brothers Duane, Thomas and Michael. He leaves to enjoy and remember his wit his wife Karen; daughter, LaChelle; sons, Rhett, Cayliff, Travis, and Clayton; grandchildren, DeJuan, Chris, Cebastian, Aiden, Raigin; sisters, Lorrayne (Walter) Mainer and Sheila VanArsdale; brother, Leon (Cynthia) Dungey; mother-in-law, Eva L. Fambrough; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
