Newton Dupree Jr. son of the late Newton & Daisy Dupree, was born December 11, 1935 in Lomax, Alabama. He is one of four children. He was called to his eternal home on June 2, 2020 in Cincinnati, Ohio
June move to Cincinnati, Ohio when he was 7 years old where he attended South Woodlawn Elementary school. He graduated in 1956 from Lockland Wayne High school. June was a man of many trades. He was employee at GE, and later became a truck driver for E & L transport for 35 years before he retired. He met Anna Howard in 1965 and after his retirement they were married.
June was a very quiet person. He was a hard worker and a provider for his family no matter what the situation was, we love him for that. He love to work on cars, radio breaking things down and then rebuilding them. He love to read, anything you would ask him he would get a book to look it up. He had a heart of gold, he would help anyone if they needed. He will be greatly missed.
He leaves us with many cherished memories and good people to carry on his legacy: a loving and devoted wife of 18 years Anna Dupree; Three daughter Diana Turner, Dorothy Howard, Patricia Matthews (Marvin Sr). One Son James Roseman (Star) of Sacramento Ca., Three sister Nina Dupree-Jones, Robin Blackwell, Margaret Jackson, Two brother Ross Dupree (Marshal) Joseph Dupree (Rose), Brother-in-law: Maurice, Gregory, Bill, Oscars, Bobby, Richard of Sacramento, Ca. Sister-n-law: Barbara Jean of Sacramento, Ca. Claudine Roseman of North Carolina, Sarah, Aileen, Brenda; Grandchildren: Naphtali, Justin, Nadia, Ashley, Tony (Katrelia), Toyin, Jermisha, Dominique (Chris), Shanti, James Jr., Kalaya, Kalyn. Sacramento, CA; Great-Grandchildren: Naphsiyah, Nyshoun, Tyler, Naraya, Jace, Aryel, Kylen, Tony Jr, Tyrese, Athena; Great-Great-Grandchildren: Kamari, Khalil; A Host of nieces, Nephews, cousins & friends.
Visitation is from 10:00 am until 12:00 pm on Saturday, June 20, 2020 at the Walker Funeral Home - Mt. Healthy, 7272 Hamilton Avenue , Mt. Healthy (45231).
A Graveside service will follow at Landmark Memorial Gardens, 1600 Glendale Milford Road , Cincinnati, Ohio 45215. Pall Bearers: Marvin Matthews Sr., Tony Howard Sr., Naphtali Brooks, Justin Steele, Tyrese Evan, Nyshoun Howard, Emanuel Lee, Ty Cass.
