Nevada S. (Henry) Jones departed this earthly life on September 25, 2018. She is now resting from her labor and has earned her heavenly wings!

She was born on November 14, 1938 in Opelika, Alabama to the union of the late Luther and Minnie (Tucker) Henry, Sr. She was the 9th child born of this union.

She moved to Cincinnati in 1957 after graduating from high school. She married the late Samuel R. Jones in 1960. She began working at General Hospital in 1964 and remained there until her retirement in 1994. To those that knew her knows that her work family meant a lot to her.

Preceded in death by parents and husband, the late Samuel R. Jones: sisters, Bertha H. Germany, Annie Ruth Henry, Fannie Lois H. Cooper, Minnie H. Butler, Rosie P. Williams; brothers, Luther Jr., Willie and Roosevelt Henry.

She leaves to forever cherish her memory, a loving daughter, Valerie Kimble, 4 grandchildren, Maurice Jr., Marcus, Emanual, Ebony Kimble and their father, Maurice Sr; 1 great-grandson, Mason Kimble; and a host of nieces, nephews, co-workers and dear friends.

Visitation is from 10:00 am until 11:00 am, on  Saturday, October 6, 2018, at the Walker Event Center, 3939 Reading Road (Corner of Reading and Paddock), Cincinnati  (45229).   The funeral service will immediately follow the visitation beginning at 11:00 am.

Interment will follow at Vine Street Hill Cemetery, 3701 Vine Street, Cincinnati, 45220.
