In Remembrance of Our Beloved Nathan Lee Sims April 1, 1948 – March 11, 2015 SERVICES: Monday, March 30, 2015 Visitation: 10:00 a.m. – Military Service: 11:00 a.m. Walker Funeral Home – Downtown, 930 Findley Street - Cincinnati, OH - 45214 Nathaniel Lee Sims was born on April 1, 1948 to Brisco Sims and Margaret Sims. He graduated in 1966 from Lincoln Heights. After he graduated, he enlisted in the Navy for four years and then later he enlisted in the Marine Corps. Nate was preceded in death by his three brothers, Brisco Sims Jr., Joseph Sims, and James Sims; one daughter, Bridgette Sims. Nate leaves behind one sister, Loretta Ruffin-Sims. Nathaniel and his high school sweetheart, Marsha Gilbert had two children named Nathan L. Gilbert (Judy), Tonya M. Gilbert. Then later on Nate married Corinna Sims and out of that marriage, he had one son, Aaron Sims. Then later on in life he married June Sims and out of that marriage he had another son, Jayme Sims (Amanda). He leaves a host of nieces, nephews, five granddaughters, Alicia Gilbert, Adero Campbell, Keyerra Sims, Kim Sims, and Brooklyn Sims; seven grandsons, Turshawn Gilbert, Robert Campbell, Nate Gilbert, Ryan Sims, Javonn Sims, Joyce Sims, and Branson Sims; great-grandchildren, Poem of Life Life is but a stopping place, a pause in what's to be A resting place along the road, to sweet eternity. We all have different journeys, different paths along the way; We all were meant to stay… our destination is a place, Far greater than we know. For some the journey's quicker, for some the journey's slow. And when the journey finally ends, we'll claim a great reward, And find an everlasting peace, Together with the Lord.
