Remembering a Life Well Lived

It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of our beloved Natalie Denise Chandler, who departed this life on December 6, 2025, after a courageous battle with stage 4 cancer. She entered into rest without pain, surrounded by love, with her two daughters holding her close.

Natalie was born on October 31, 1960, in Shelby County, Tennessee. At a young age, she and her God-fearing mother moved to Cincinnati, Ohio, where she was guided by a loving family, including her church communities of Bibleway and Temple of Hope. Later, Natalie married and became the young mother of 2 beautiful daughters, whom she raised as a single parent. Even through tough times, she led her daughters with the grace of God and always taught them to turn to Him for all things. Those lessons now direct the steps of her grandchildren. "Trust in the LORD with all our heart, and do not lean on your own understanding. In all your ways, acknowledge Him and he will make straight you paths." Proverbs 3:5-6

"Ms. Chandler" earned deep respect and admiration throughout The Queen City through her years of dedicated service with Cincinnati Public Schools. She stood tall in many ways, leaving those around her inspired and often in awe. Natalie stood as a pillar of kindness, resilience, and determination to her family, friends and community, ensuring that each generation would surpass the last.

Natalie is survived by a large loving family including: Her siblings, Leonard Small and Dr. Sarah Ghee; Her daughters, Brandi Ayers and Bridgette McBurrows (Jeremiah Sr.); Her grandchildren, Anastaja Mayes, Jeremiah McBurrows Jr., Amira Ayers, Lillian McBurrows, Elizabeth McBurrows, and Nobel Robinson (bonus); her nieces and nephews Leonard Small Jr., Donica Jones, Darius Hambrick, Kelsey Cornett, and Kayla Cornett; and a host of dear cousins and close friends.

She was preceded in death by her mother Geneva Small and father Samuel Ghee; her sister Christine Ghee Cornett; dear cousin/brother Nathaniel Williams; and a host of aunts and uncles.

A celebration of Natalie's life will be held on December 18, 2025, at Walker Funeral Home – (Walnut Hills Chapel, 2625 Gilbert Avenue, Cincinnati 45206), beginning at 3:00pm. All who knew Natalie are invited to gather to share memories, find solace in one another's company, and honor the legacy she leaves behind.

Natalie will be so deeply missed by all who had the privilege of knowing her. Her spirit and legacy continue to thrive through her devoted daughters and her "Fab 5". Though she is no longer with us in presence, Natalie will forever remain alive in our hearts and memories. The love she shared and the positive influence she had on so many lives endure, a testament to the remarkable woman she was.
