Nakesha Denise Johnson was born on September 8, 1977, to Frederick Jenkins (Fred) and Rona Johnson (Simone). Affectionately known as “Kesha,” she attended Withrow High School and later earned her GED. Nakesha was raised in the Catholic Church.

Nakesha was full of life. She enjoyed working with seniors and worked for a few Home Health Agencies. In 2007,

Nakesha and Robert gave birth to Aaron James Johnson, her only child; he was her pride and joy; she loved her son with every bone in her body. Nakesha was also the only child to Rona and Fred, their pride of joy. Nakesha was a daddy’s girl, and she loved her daddy very much.

Nakesha had a smile that would light up the world. When she smiled it was the light from sun. When she smiled you could feel her joy. She loved to travel and write poems. Kesha was writing a book titled Family Life that was partially completed.

Lakesha worked at Helping Hands Agency for over 5 years as home health care giver. She enjoyed working with the seniors in their home and taking good care of them. She took pride in her work.

Nakesha was preceded in death by her father Frederick Jenkins, grandmother Wilma Johnson, grandfather James Harold Jenkins, grandmother Hattie Mae Jenkins, aunt Tanya Wright and cousin Carlos Wright.

Nakesha memory will be forever cherished by her mother: Rona, son: Aaron, stepfather Richard Elaster, brother Josh and stepbrother Ricky; God sister Lisa, Joyce, Clarissa, Denise, Malaya, Accadia and God brothers Eddie, Brian, and Demetrius; aunts Kharon, Tammy, Brenda (Murphy) and Alice; uncles Scott and Jimmy; and cousins, Latwana, Anthony, Monique, Tiffany, Paris, Zaya, Shakayla, Kevin, and Murphy Jr,. Nakesha’s memory also be cherished by Aaron’s father Robert Lang.

Nakesha will also be missed by Robin and Charisse, two special ladies who were like a mother to her, and a host of cousins and friends who loved her dearly.

Friends are cordially invited to a visitation with the family from 3:00 pm until 4:00 pm, on Saturday, April 11, 2026, at the Walker Funeral Home - Walnut Hills Chapel, 2625 Gilbert Avenue, Cincinnati (45206). The funeral service will immediately follow the visitation, beginning at 4:00 pm. Friends and family will gather to share memories, find solace in one another's company, and honor the legacy she leaves behind.
