Obituary

Nadine (Tucker) Hudson, born to the late Thomas Lee Tucker, Sr. and Lillian Virginia DuBose Tucker on July 21, 1948, in Cincinnati, Ohio. Nadine transitioned to eternal life with Our Lord and Savior on Wednesday, September 9, 2015. Nadine was baptized, completed her first Holy Communion and Confirmation while attending St. Mark Elementary School. Upon graduation from St. Mark Elementary School she attended Regina High School and then transferred to Withrow High School in Cincinnati. As a student, she was very athletic and played volleyball and softball. Nadine and Ronald P. Hudson have been together for 50 years. After their high school sweetheart courtship and Hudson's return from the Vietnam War, they were joined in holy matrimony on October 28, 1972. To this union, one daughter was born, Lisa Voncia Hudson. Nadine's career in healthcare began as a candy striper with General Hospital where she later was hired full time as a nurse aide and promoted to numerous positions, concluding her career with retirement after 30 years of service with the University (General) Hospital as a Surgical Technician. Through her many positions at the hospital, she earned the reputation as one of the best surgical techs on staff and many of the Surgical Physicians would request her personally to attend their surgery procedures. Upon retirement, she became the dotting and loving grandmother to six grandchildren and four great- grandchildren. Nadine lived her life through faith in God and love and commitment to her husband, daughter, grandchildren, and great- grandchildren. She was a woman of strong will and endured the trials of life with an "I can do" attitude. She was a no non-sense person, whom many became connected with her because of her realistic view on life. Nadine was preceded in death by her parents, Thomas L. Tucker, Sr., Lillian V. D. Tucker, her favorite uncle, Sullivan DuBose; two brothers, Robert L. DuBose, Sr. and William B. Tucker; two sisters in law, Ruby DuBose and Patricia F. Tucker; one brother in law, Nathaniel Gray; three nephews, Reginald Overton, Khalil Tucker and William F. Tucker.
