In loving memory of our beloved Myrtis L. Causey-Hicks. Born August 3, 1929, in Crawford County, Georgia to the union of Sam and Addie Causey, Myrtis passed away on May 20th in Cincinnati, Ohio. Early in her life, Myrtis was united in marriage to Allen Felton Hicks. They had eight children: Henry L., Felton, Jr., Emma Jewel, Bobby L. (deceased), Ella Mae (deceased), Darlene (deceased), Gregory (deceased), and Gary. Myrtis worked on different farms performing various farm work. She later moved to Cincinnati, Ohio and worked as a nursing assistant. She also worked as an assistant cook at Twin Lanterns and performed domestic work for various clients. As an avid music lover, Myrtis especially loved blues and gospel genres. Myrtis was a member of Springhill Baptist Church. She was a wonderful woman who was and still is loved by many. While she was very stern when needed to be, Myrtis always had people around her. She was a very giving and kind-hearted woman, constantly cooking, feeding, and caring for people. To cherish her memory, Myrtis leaves behind three sons, Henry, Felton, and Gary Hicks, one daughter, Emma Smith, 32 grandchildren, 82 great grandchildren, 66 great great grandchildren, 2 great great great grandchildren, and a host of other family members and friends.

Visitation is from 2:00 pm until 3:00 pm, on  Friday, May 28, 2021, at the Walker Funeral Home - Mt. Healthy, 7272 Hamilton Avenue , Mt. Healthy  (45231).   The funeral service will immediately follow the visitation beginning at 3:00 pm. Everyone attending must wear a mask and practice social distancing.

In keeping with the Covid-19 Pandemic restrictions masks are required in order to enter  the service and social distancing must be practiced.  Please be prepared to comply for the safety of all.
