Myrdis C. Vinson was born in Augusta, Georgia on September 16, 1921. She was the second child born to the late Joseph C. Crawford and Lillian Hill Crawford Sanders. Myrdis was raised by a loving mother, who instilled many fine qualities in her, which she lived by during her adult years. Myrdis accepted Jehovah God at an early age, and was baptized at Saint John Church in Ashville, North Carolina. Myrdis graduated from Haines High School in Augusta, Georgia, then Luvenia's School fo Beauty Culture. She worked part time at various jobs. But, she was mainly a house wife and mother, caring for her husband and children. She was kind and compassionate. To know her was to love her. On Dec. 13, 1942 she married Johnnie F. Vinson, they had two wonderful children. Myrdis enjoyed playing with the children, sewing, knitting, spending time with family, playing cards with family and friends and other interests. Myrdis is survived by her son; Johnnie F. Vinson Jr., daughter-in-law Diane Vinson, her daughter; Andrea Philips, grand children; Thomas, Anthony, Daniel, David, Ayesha, Renata, and Natasha, great grandchildren; Daniel Jr., Kse', Kyshia, Danielle, and Hezekiah. Extended family Clarence, Caralyn, Michael, Crystal, Alex, and other loved ones Myrdis is now resting safely in the memory of Jehovah God, until resurrection by our Savior Jesus Christ.
