IN LOVING MEMORY OF

Pierre, Jr.
December 22, 1980 – September 20, 2017
Mussah George Pierre, Jr. affectionately known as "Bear" was born into this life to Mussah George Pierre, Sr. and Stevi Bolden Moody on December 22, 1980 in Cincinnati, OH. Bear departed this life at the age of 36 on September 20, 2017. Bear attended Cincinnati Public as well as Princeton City Schools. During his journey of self-discovery, he became a poet and a lover of books, writing his own memoir titled, "Time" and a compilation of poetry and music. He was employed with MBJ Consultants, and was currently working on the Historical Union Terminal Rehab Project where he was always the first on the job, sometimes more than an hour early. Bear was fun, loving, energetic, the life of the party, and an all-around good man. An extraordinary son, he was mama's boy and his Daddy's hand bag, meaning he never left home without him. He never met a stranger, he was loyal to everyone he loved and those who loved him. He would give you the shirt off his back. He loved spending time with his family and friends, hanging out with his baby brother Elijah, they shared a bond that was truly unbreakable. He adored his nieces and nephews, and never missed out on any special events or milestones in their lives. He loved travelling, writing poetry, he loved to bowl, shoot pool, play cards and chess, and was a great basketball player. He is survived by his loving parents, Mussah George Pierre, Sr. and Stevi Bolden Moody (Charles T. Moody, Sr.), his grandmother, Sandra King, his fiancée, Aisha Davis, his siblings Dion L. Bolden, Miatta S. Pierre, Elijah D. Moody, Ernest J. Pierre, Henry D. Pierre, Nmantendi C. Pierre, Deborah Woods, William Hinton, Gailonda Hinton, Charlena Moody, Charles T. I am the diamond glints on snow. I am the sunlight on ripened grain. I am the gentle autumn rain. When you awaken in the morning's hush, I am the swift, uplifting rush. Of quiet birds in circled flight, I am the soft stars that shine at night. Do not stand at my grave and cry; I am not there. I did not die.
