August 12, 1955 – September 16, 2024
Mr. Murray Thomas Donovan, age 69, of Cincinnati, Ohio passed away peacefully with his children by his side on September 16, 2024.
He was the loving son of George and Helen (Robinson) Donovan who was born and raised in Jefferson County, Indiana.
He graduated from Southwestern High School in 1973 and participated in many activities but excelled in basketball and baseball. After graduation he attended Marian College on an athletic scholarship.
In 1976 he married Marci (Server) Donovan in Madison, Indiana at Christ Episcopal Church which produced a daughter, Meg. In 1986 he married Becky Haskamp in Cincinnati, Ohio which produced two sons, Bret and Nick. Murray retired after many years in sales.
Murray loved his family, all kind of sports, watching movies, Bojangles and traveling to Florida. And let's not forget about sausage gravy! His famous words were "sausage gravy will make me feel better."
He is preceded id death by: his father, George; his mother, Helen; brother, H.J. and his niece Alesha.
Murray is survived by: his three loving children, Meg Donovan Lopez (Tomas) of Davenport, Florida, Bret Donovan of Cincinnati, Ohio and Nick Donovan (Megan Wills) of Cincinnati, Ohio; his adoring grandchildren, Thomas, Caesar, Matthew, Eleanor and Olivia; sister, Theresa Donovan Long (Arnold) of Madison, Indiana; niece, Audrey Long Sims (Andrew) and nephew, Aaron Long. A very special band of brothers, Doug Rusk, Don Server, Jr., Rick Schnebelt and John Trimbler, also added joy to his life.
A Celebrtion of Life is being planned for a later date.
