Obituary

Mother Bertha Perry was one of seven children born to the u nion of Mr. Austin and Mrs. Minnie (Breedlove) Tennyson. She was born on the 7th of December 1900 in Marion County Georgia. She went home January 22, 1989. She confessed Christ at an early age. After moving to Americus, Georgia, she joined the Mt. Olive Baptist Church, and was a member there until she moved to Cincinnati, Ohio in June of 1945. In that same year she joined the New St. Paul Baptist Church . Upon moving from the West End she joined the Rose Chapel Baptist Church in 1964. She served faithfully until her health failed. Mother Perry was a member of hte Ajax Christian Club, the Community Mothers Club, and the Mothers Board of Rose Chaple. She was a member of Easter Stars since 1948. She leaves to cherish her memory a loving daughter, Mrs. Gladys R. James, nephew, Charles Sr., great-nieces, Marion Franklin of Chicago, Illinois and Katie Hollis of Birmingham, Alabama. Great nephew Charles Norris Jr. Funeral Service Thursday, January 26, 1989, at Rose Chapel Baptist Church, 761 South Crescent Avenue, Cincinnati, Ohio 45229. Rev. Sol Prophett, Pastor, Officiating.
