Obituary

Louise Minnie Lee Roberson Hunter was born February 17, 1929 in Millen, Georgia.  Mother Hunter was born to the late Albert L. Roberson Sr., and Lillie M. Roberson.

Mother Hunter accepted Christ at Holy Temple Church of God in Christ and was baptized by her pastor, the late Bishop Howard Smith.  In 1969, Mother Hunter joined Gethsemane Church of God in Christ under the leadership of the late Bishop Berten Jennings.

Mother Louise Hunter transitioned from earth to glory on July 16, 2020 at 7:15 am at Mercy Fairfield Hospital.  Mother Hunter enjoyed life.  She was educated by the Georgia School System.  Afterwards, she received a certificate in nursing special needs children at Woodbridge State School in Woodbridge, New Jersey, and then later retired from Drakes Bakery in 1992.  After retiring, Mother Hunter relocated to Cincinnati OH where she joined the Good News Church of God in Christ under the leadership of the late Pastor James H. Quick Sr.  Mother Hunter was a member of the Hymnal Choir, President of the Courtesy Club, and also a prayer warrior in the Tuesday morning service.  God anointed Mother Hunter to pray for the hands during the Tuesday morning prayer.

Mother Hunter was married to James Hunter who preceded her in death.  Mother Hunter was the fifth of ten children.  Her siblings are brothers, Albert L. Roberson, Jr. (Clotile), Ralph E. Roberson (Dorothy), and Joel Roberson (Alice); and sisters, Ellen Wilson (Climmie), Alveina Lassiter (William), Emma Outerbridge (James) Lillian Sconiers (Ray), and Bertha Jackson, all preceded her in death.  She has one living brother, Joshua Roberson (Helen).  Also, she leaves to cherish her memory, her children, Roberta Barnes (Reginald), Clidean Roberson, Melvin Griggs, Levi Newton (Brenda), Melinda Hemmings (Gary), Vincent Griggs (Astrida), Darryl Griggs, K. Hakeem Griggs and Benjamin F. Griggs, Jr. (Peggy), preceded her in death. Spiritual daughters, Delores Vines (preceded her in death) and Christie Lee (Joe), and the list continues.  A host of grandchildren, great grands, and great, great grandchildren.

Visitation is from 10:00 am until 11:00 am on Saturday, July 25, 2020 at the Good News Church of God in Christ, 1063 W. North Bend Road, Cincinnati  (45224).   The funeral service will immediately follow the visitation beginning at 11:00 am.

Interment will follow at Crown Hill Memorial Park & Mausoleum, 11825 Pippin Road, Colerain Township, Ohio 45231.
