Monica Lanette Brown was born to Diane Brown and Cornelius Sanders on March 2, 1971, in Cincinnati, Ohio, and departed this life on December 25, 2020.

Monica attended and graduated from Princeton High School in 1989. She also attended Thomas Moore College for two years. She worked for Macy's for 29 years and worked part-time at Fifth Third Bank for seven years, from 2009 to 2016.

Monica was a lover of God and family. She always said, "Her family only came second to God". She had many interests but most of all she enjoyed traveling (especially to her favorite place, Jamaica) and spending time with loved ones.

Monica was known for her beautiful, kind spirit and would go above and beyond for those she cared about. Whenever someone was in need, she would not hesitate to do whatever she could to help. She was the "go-to" person for many. Monica offered advice, prayers, and other emotional support. Her legacy is one of compassion, love, and generosity. She will be greatly missed.

Monica leaves to cherish her memory: her daughter Mykah and "furbaby" Chewy; mother Diane; aunts: Bettie, Rose, Debra, Josie, and Janice; uncle David; sisters: Denice, Shawanna, Felicia, and Rena; brothers: Michael, Cornelius, Eddie, Ronald, and Dwayne; a host of nieces, nephews, great-nieces, great-nephews, cousins, and friends.

A gathering of family and friends is from 2:00 pm until 2:30 pm  on Friday, January 15, 2021 at the Walker Funeral Home, 7272 Hamilton Avenue, Mt. Healthy (45231).   The memorial service will immediately follow the gathering beginning at 2:30 pm. Everyone attending must wear a mask and practice social distancing.

In keeping with the Covid-19 Pandemic restrictions masks are required in order to enter  the service and social distancing must be practiced.  Please be prepared to comply for the safety of all.
