MONGKOL M. SRISOPARK, M.D. Dr. Mongkol M. Srisopark, 77, passed away peacefully on Thursday, July 31, 2008, at the University Hospital in Cincinnati, OH, surrounded by his loving family. Formerly a resident of Marion, IN, Dr. Srisopark practiced medicine at the Northern Indiana VA Health Care System ('VA') where he received numerous awards recognizing his compassionate and consistent style of care that he brought to his patients. He was often recognized for his rigorous work ethic that was combined with a pleasant and congenial style that made the VA a more pleasant and professional place to work and receive health care. After 52 years of dedicated, conscientious service as a physician in Thailand, Austria, and the United States, Dr. Srisopark retired in 2007. An avid violinist, Dr. Srisopark loved music, in particular, classical music. He also enjoyed gardening, photography, traveling, reading, and most of all spending time with his family who adored him. The memory of his loving kindness will live on in his family members that include his wife whom he was married to for 43 years, Rampaipan, and daughters Chitsupang (Steven) Weekes, Apiromraj (Eric) Roslansky, Notesong (Jason) Thompson, and six grandchildren - Benjamin, Emily and Abigail Weekes; Olivia and Brooks Roslansky, and Jason Thompson, Jr. A traditional Thai Buddhist funeral service will be held at Walker Funeral Home, Hamilton Avenue, Mt. Healthy, Ohio on Thursday, August 7 at 2:00 p.m. In lieu of flowers, the Srisopark family asks that memorials be sent to the Disabled American Veterans Memorial Program, an organization that Dr. Srisopark cared about deeply.
