Minnie moved to Cincinnati at nine years of age and united with the Church of God at 909 Richmond Street. She grew up in the West End and Avondale areas graduating from Woodward High School in 1953. She worked around children all of her life beginning as a teacher at daycare centers. Throughout the remainder of her life, she cooked for and worked with children of all ages at public and private schools around Cincinnati. At the time of her passing, she was serving as a foster grandparent for the Archdiocese of Cincinnati for the kindergarten class at Douglass Elementary School. She was called grandma by the students and staff around the school. Her other passions included gardening, flowers, and good southern cooking. She was an active church member beginning as a young child. She raised six children, had 14 grandchildren and 15 great-grandchildren. One child, Kimberly Starks-Reynolds, preceded her in death. She leaves to cherish her memory; her son, Danny Dozier, and daughters, Tonie (Malcolm), Melinda, Lillian, and Cassandra; very special friends, Ron, Shelia, and Ann Jackson; Debbie Edwards; the entire Williams family; and a host of relatives and friends. Visitation is from 10:00 a. until 11:00 a.m. on Friday, January 2, 2015 at Lee Chapel A.M.E., 2009 Pogue Street, Cincinnati (45208). The funeral service will follow immediately follow the visitation and will begin at 11:00 a.m. The Rev. Kevin J. Cooper, Sr. will officiate. Interment is at Crown Hill Memorial Gardens.
