Michael Edward Woods known to friends and family as, Mike, age 64, of Cincinnati, Ohio, passed away on October 20, 2013, after a hard fought battle against cancer. Mike was born on February 22, 1949, in Coalgood, Kentucky, and was raised in Cincinnati, where he resided for the majority of his life. Being a man who loved to travel, he also enjoyed living in Mannheim, German from 1970 to 1976. After 35 years of federal service, he retired from the USPS Cincinnati Bulk Mail Center in 2004. Mike never knew a stranger, and he will be remembered for the compassion and gratitude he showed others. He was a very special person, who had a wonderful way with people, and words. Proceeding Mike in death was his mother, Nona Gladys Woods (Walls); father, Willie Leland Woods; brothers, Buddy, Jimmy, and Robert; sisters, Joan and Suzie; lifelong friend, Donna M. Horan. He is survived by his loving wife, Hali L. Woods; son, Michael (Tillie) Woods; grandchildren, Zachary, Erin, Lauren, Nicholas, Claire, and Kaitlyn Woods; daughter, Meghan (Zachary Nelson) Woods; granddaughter, Stella Nelson; step-sons, Andrew Turnbull, and Trenton Moore; brothers, Bill and Freddy Woods; several nieces, nephews, and friends.
