Michael Anthony Plair, affectionately known as Mike P., and Mizike was born on June 3, 1969, in Joliet, Illinois, to Florestine Plair and the late Michael Mason. Michael departed this world peacefully on Tuesday, June 25, 2024, at Blue Ash Hospice Center.
Mike spent his early years in the Chicago suburbs, attending elementary and junior high school in Joliet. In 1985, he moved to Cleveland, Ohio, where he attended Marshall and Rhodes High School and later earned his General Educational Diploma. In 1993, he relocated to Cincinnati, Ohio, where he found his passion in construction and building. Mike's creativity and exceptional skills in his craft were well-regarded and admired by many.
A true socialite, Mike cherished his time with friends and family. He had a profound love for playing pool and participating in tournaments, where he showcased his competitive spirit and camaraderie. Domino games were another favorite pastime, reflecting his love for engaging and connecting with others. Mike was also an avid car enthusiast and a dedicated Cleveland Browns fan, displaying his loyalty and enthusiasm for his favorite team.
Mike's love and devotion to his family were unparalleled. He was a loving son, brother, father, uncle, and friend. His kindness and generosity knew no bounds, and he was always there to support those he loved. Mike was a devoted father to his children, Michael Anthony Plair Jr., Eriayshia Williams, and stepdaughter Janiah Clark. He also cherished the relationship with his stepson, Justin Gooch. His significant other, Stephanie Harris, remained by his side, offering unwavering support throughout his battle with cancer.
Michael was preceded in death by his father, Michael Mason, grandmother Arstina Hicks, and aunts Rose Young, Denise Young, and Arlene Young.
He leaves behind a legacy of love and cherished memories, which will be forever treasured by his significant other, Stephanie Harris; his children, Michael Anthony Plair Jr., Eriayshia Williams, stepson Justin Gooch, stepdaughter, Janiah Clark; his mother, Florestine Plair; his brothers, Derrick W. Plair and Wayne Mason, his sisters; Nedra Rochell Plair and Micheal Leena Mason; his uncles; Kevin Young and Albert Gavin; his aunt, Kathlee Young; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and dear friends.
Michael's warm heart, generous spirit, and unwavering love for his family and friends will be remembered fondly by all who knew him. His presence brought joy and comfort to those around him, and his memory will continue to inspire and uplift
Visitation is from 2:00 pm until 3:00 pm, on Thursday, July 11, 2024, at the Walker Funeral Home - Walnut Hills Chapel, 2625 Gilbert Avenue, Cincinnati (45206). The funeral service will immediately follow the visitation beginning at 3:00 pm. Friends and family will gather to share memories, find solace in one another's company, and honor the legacy he leaves behind.
