Michael Dwayne McGhee was born on June 19, 1965, to the union of Ogletree "Tree" McGhee and Gwendolyn "Bebe" McGhee, who both preceded him in death.

Michael attended Woodlawn and Princeton High School. His formative years were spent with and influenced by his older brothers. He was the youngest of five.

On September 17, 1984, he united in holy matrimony with Renea McGhee. Two sons were born to this union.

Michael was always the life of the party. As an active member of Lincoln Heights, he brought joy to the community with his compassion and humor. He gave his life to Christ at an early age and attended Friendship Missionary Baptist Church with his parents, who were members of the church.

Michael was preceded in death by his parents, Ogletree and Gwendolyn; his grandparents, Edward and Colonia Hamilton, and Palmer and Rosemary; his wife, Renea; and his brother, Anthony.

He leaves to cherish his memory his sons, Marcus and Michael Jr.; his grandchildren, Bobbi-Renea, Myanna, Jyair, and Kayleigh; his brothers, Monty, Brian, and Leslie; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.

Visitation is from 10:00 am until 11:00 am, on  Saturday, March 29, 2025, at the Walker Funeral Home - Mt. Healthy, 7272 Hamilton Avenue , Mt. Healthy  (45231).   The funeral service will immediately follow the visitation beginning at 11:00 am. Friends and family will gather to share memories, find solace in one another's company, and honor the legacy he leaves behind.
