Obituary

With heavy hearts, we announce the passing of our beloved {cousin, son, father, and friend} Michael Lamar Curry, affectionately known as “Mike,” who departed this life on February 3, 2026. He was 51 years old. Though our hearts are broken, we are grateful for the time, love, and memories he gave so freely.

Born on October 11, 1974, in Cincinnati, Ohio to the late Loretta Jean Curry, Michael was the true definition of love and loyalty. He cared deeply for his family and especially cherished his daughter, who was the light of his life. The bond he shared wither was undeniable- she was his pride, his joy, and his greatest blessing.

No matter what life placed in front of him, he wore a smile. Through every challenge and every storm, he carried himself with quiet strength and unwavering courage. In his final days, he showed the strength of a thousand man. Even when his body grew tired, his spirit remained powerful.

Michael was the person everyone called when something went wrong with their car. If you had a problem, he had a solution. He loved his cars and had gifted hands when it came to fixing them. Being a handyman was not just something he did- it was part of who he was. He took pride in helping others, always showing up without hesitation.

He was preceded in death by his lovely mother Loretta Jean Curry and brother Demond Curry (“Monney”) Grandparents Woodford Howard Curry (“Salty”) Alberteen Peggy Curry and aunt Phyllis Hill, as well as his cousin Antonio Lundy.

He leaves to cherish his precious memories, his beloved daughter:

Kenneth Hill of Cincinnati, OH Craig Crawford of Fort Myers, FL who loved him as their own. Their bond was filled with laughter, guidance, and unwavering support throughout his life.

He also leaves behind a host of cousin (11 in total): Talisha Curry, Camille Crawford, Imari Crawford (Marvin), Tamica Evans (Eric), Kenneth Hill (Jeaninne), Kendra Ward (Vernon), Melvin IV Lundy, Jermey Lundy, Jacqueline Johnson (Markeith), Darnell Jefferson, and Ikeailia Curry Seventeen Second cousins and one beloved third cousin continue to carry his strength: Taliah Hodge, Tyrell Hodge, Tierra Hodge, Calanie Sainval, Isaiah Sibert, Marvin II Harris, Miyahni Harris, Shamani Dean (Tyler), Chazon Ashford, Kendrick Hill, Kayla Stephens, Ariel Stephens, Zion Stephens, Le’oshia Lundy, Miayr Johnson, J’Bri Curry, Amiri Cottingham. (third cousin) Cayden Johnson.

He is survived by many cousins, extended family members, and dear friends who will forever hold his smile, his strength, and his pure heart close to theirs.

Micheal Lamar Curry (“Mike”) heart was pure, and his soul was bright. He brought warmth into every room and comforted everyone around him. He leaves behind a legacy of love, resilience, and devotion to family.

We thank God for the gift of his life and the blessing of his love. Though he is no longer with us physically, his love will live on in our hearts always.
