Michael Lee Bockhorst, age 74, departed this life January 5, 2024, at Shawneespring Skilled Nursing Facility in Harrison, Ohio.

Mike was born September 7, 1949, in Margaret Mary Hospital in Batesville, Indiana to Herbert John Bockhorst and Emma Rebecca (Sheldon) Bockhorst. Mike was baptized at St John's Lutheran Church in Lawrenceburg, Indiana.

Mike graduated from Lawrenceburg High School in Indiana and served in the United States Air Force from February 29, 1968 until January 26, 1972. Mike was stationed in Guam during the Vietnam War and attained the rank of Sergeant.

Mike retired from the City of Cincinnati and was a lifelong fan of the Reds and Bengals as well as the Bearcats. Mike also loved animals, especially race horses, and he enjoyed a lot of time at the race track.

Mike was preceded in death by his parents, his sister Marilyn Centers and brother Darry Miller. Survivors include his brother Richard Bockhorst in addition to nieces and nephews.

Mike's wishes were to be cremated and no services.
